Recognizing the necessity for an interdisciplinary approach, the FINER research team includes members with extensive experience in cryptography, software engineering, distributed systems and computer security as well as in political science, public administration and traditional voting system design and polling.
The research team that includes a number of postdoctoral researchers and Ph.D. students, has developed the e-voting system DEMOS. The system has been developed after an extensive legal requirements analysis and is pushing the state of the art internationally in e-voting system design.
